Learning Italian

Hi all.
Are you interested in learning Italian?

I have worked, together with Mara, Luisa and Marilena, to produce some courses in an Italian project, "Parliamoci chiaro", runned by ISMU, an Italian organisation which deals with multiculturality.

Click on the image to enter.

"Parliamoci chiaro" is a project finalised to help immigrants people to learn Italian by means of face-to-face courses integrated with on-line courses. The on-line courses are open and free. You can enter if you are interested in learning Italian.
At the moment two courses are available: A2, pre-intermediate or survival, and B1 intermediate or threshold (following the teminology of the European framework for languages). By the end of December a new course, A1, elementary, will be avalable too.

Learn Italian, if you like:

Hablamos italiano, Let's speak Italian, Parlons Italien, Sprechen wir

I have been a teacher

I have been a teacher for a very long time. I entered as a teacher a classroom in 1970, when I was 22 years old. I still remember the difficulty to convince the students that I was not a fellow willing to play :-)

At the very beginning I tried to replicate the methodoly I experimented as a student: to pass/transmit information/knowledge to the students and to check they have received (they are able to repeat).
But soon I started to change methodology. Years and years before to know constructivism I stressed the use of laboratory and project activities to stimulate student - starting from a problem to be solved, a result to be achieved - to investigate, to experiment, to discuss.
My teacher role was to propose experiences, to suggest paths, to give assistance. Not an instructor, rather a coach or a facilitator.

Is for such a reason that I involved myself in organising also experiences out of the school: working experiences, students exchanges and working experiences abroad (WEST project).

Hi. A new start for this blog

Hi all

I opened this blog in English (I'm Italian) to take part in the CCK08 course. After the course I haven't written yet, a part for Christmas greetings and for a "good work" message to Mr Obama.
To update or to close the blog?

I decided to update it.
Thus: a short auto-presentation. I have worked as a teacher in different kinds of schools in Italy; in a secondary school - students's age 14-19 - since 1976 till 2007 when I retired.
I teached Maths, Electrotechnology, Electronics, Automation and use of ICT. I have been involved in the organization of working experiences for students, both in Italy and abroad (Ireland, Malta) and in many European project, especially in the Leonardo da Vinci Programme, and in the e-learning field.
I experimented, with my students, the integration between e-learning and face-to-face learning.

Now I'm working as a consultant in the field of education, e-learning and ICTs certifications.

In the following posts I'll present my past and current experiences.
